Inside The Great Void

Have you ever wondered what the inside of your purse looks like after you’ve close it up and you’re walking around minding your own business? Well, I can show you what the inside of my mother’s purse looked like the other day.

We’re not really sure what happened. I was checking her phone the other night so I could send some photos from it to myself via email when I ran up on these pictures. She realized her phone must have taken pictures of the inside of her purse all on its own while she was out and about the other day. When you see them, you’ll see why I just couldn’t bring myself to hit the delete button on them.

I have a feeling some of these are going to become backgrounds in different places, so watch for them 😉

No Bra Day Oct. 13th!

I saw this photo on Facebook last night. It originated on 99.7 Classic Rock’s page. Now, I think it’s pretty cool since (sorry if this is TMI folks) I have free range tatas every day. It’s the way they were meant to be, the way God made them. But I digress.

What has surprised me more than anything are some of the comments I’ve read about this photo. There are people up in arms about how horrendous it is to suggest women go without a bra when there are breast cancer survivors who don’t have that option because they’ve lost their breasts. There are people who swear this whole idea was created by a man or a group of frat boys just so they can sit back and watch some boobies bouncing as women walk by all day long. And there are those who say that no one can prove who first came up with the idea and that the people who are up in arms over it should get over it.

I say that no matter which side of the fence you come down on, when it comes to No Bra Day 2014 this photo has done its job. People are talking about breast cancer and the many ways to prevent it, to self-examine for it, and many other things about breast cancer not just on the photo or the shared photos, but in statuses on Facebook timelines as well as on other social media sites. Yes, this little photo has done its job and done it admirably. Keep spreading the word. Save the TaTas!!

How To Perform A Breast Self Examination (BSE)

It is very important that every woman know how to do a breast self examination and that she does one each and every month to look for any changes in her breasts so she can discuss them with her doctor. Early detection is the best tool in fighting breast cancer. Here is a link to a video on Youtube that explains how to do a breast self examination or BSE.

BREAST EXAM: Learn From The Expert!

It only runs for about three minutes. Who can’t spare three minutes to save their life or the life of someone they love? Also remember, we always talk about women and breast cancer, but men get breast cancer too. They need to know how to keep a check on themselves as well. Please watch the video, learn now to test yourself, and do it regularly.

Want to learn more about breast cancer? I mean the who, what, where, and when of breast cancer? Visit the Susan G. Komen website. Lots of good information can be found here. Also a great site to visit if you want to do something about breast cancer.
